How to Use a Squeeze Page Effectively
Here’s a suggestion to get the most from your advertising web pages. A squeeze page is a landing page where the user must register to get further information. When users click on your link to learn more information about your product, the next screen or landing page directs them to register or log in to access the information for which they are looking.
The internet is quickly becoming the best means of advertising with much better results than printed media, radio and television. A squeeze page is designed to capture the user’s email address and name for the opportunity to send more advertising emails.
They have already expressed an interest in your ad since they clicked on the link to take them to your squeeze page. This puts them in the category of your target market, in which advertising campaigns are most effective.
Targeting certain groups of people who are interested in your products will typically generate more sales than simply targeting a general marketing campaign.
There are many ways to use a squeeze page, but the most effective way is to offer something free for trying the product or signing up for free webinars conducted in the areas of your users’ interest. On your squeeze page, you can go into detail about the free item or seminar and get their interest in doing whatever is needed to get the free item or seminar. You could add testimonials from others about how fantastic the free seminars or free product was to them and not mention the item you are trying to sell. You could leave the sales pitch for the purchase of your product to a later point in the seminar or another page the user is directed to in order to receive the free item.
It is important to remember to include all three parts of a squeeze page: the offer, the body and the testing. People are not interested in more spam email and will hesitate to give out information unless they are sure there isn’t a catch or virus attached.
1. The Offer must be enticing enough to get visitors to click on it and be willing to give out their information in order to receive the product or service. Make sure you describe your offer in detail and it is a large part of your squeeze page.
2. The Body must describe your offer in detail. Make the visitors to your site really interested in finding out more. This is the place to do your major advertising.
3. The Testing should be frequent and results driven. Change the colors, font, graphics and headings to your squeeze page as possibly an otherwise identical page and see which produces the most signups. Keep changing and testing until you have the optimal page with a high conversion rate or where a visitor has turned into a member. The target conversion rate is at least 40% which can generate a lot of emails for continuing your marketing campaigns.
Good luck with your venture of online advertising! I hope you find it very rewarding.
